As a member of The Kindred Club, you and your chosen companion (a carer, family member or friend) will be welcomed into a supportive community and gain access to joyful events on the first two Saturdays of each month — designed to uplift, energise and connect. All our events are held at St James Scottish Episcopal Church and run from 4pm - 5.30pm.✨ Monthly Live Music Social
Our music socials feature the talented Margo and other great local performers playing familiar tunes and feel-good favourites. Enjoy singing along, dancing if you fancy, and sharing tea, cake and laughter in good company.🧘 Monthly Dance & Natter Session
This gentle dance class lead by All Steps First Dance offers seated and standing options to get your body moving safely. Afterwards, we gather for a relaxed natter over refreshments — a chance to share stories and smiles.💬 Private Online Group
All members are invited to join our private Facebook group — a friendly space where we share updates, photos from events, and information about other dementia-friendly activities happening across Edinburgh.💷 Membership Cost
Membership is £25 per month, which includes access to all the monthly events and one free guest pass for a carer, family member or friend. Your membership is rolling, so there’s no long-term commitment — you’re free to cancel at any time.

The Kindred Club is designed for people living with dementia and their chosen companions — whether that’s a partner, carer, family member or friend. We aim to create a welcoming, stigma-free environment for everyone involved.👫 Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely. Every membership includes free entry for one guest. You’ll always be welcome to come as a pair — no one should feel like they’re navigating this journey alone.💳 How do I pay?
Payments are made securely by recurring monthly payments when you sign up online. Your £25 membership is billed monthly on a rolling basis and you can cancel any time. Alternatively, you can pay for your monthly membership in cash on the first event of the month. You will be given a receipt for your records.🦽 Are the events accessible?
Yes! St James Scottish Episcopal Church has step-free access, and our sessions are designed to be inclusive for all mobility levels.St James Scottish Episcopal Church is located by Leith Links on 11A John's Place, EH6 7EL.🧁 Are refreshments included?
Yes — we offer tea, coffee, juice and snacks at each indoor session. Everything is included in your membership fee.📆 What if I can’t make an event one month?
That’s totally okay. Life happens! We encourage you to come as often as you can, but there’s no extra cost if you miss a session.If you have any further questions please email [email protected]

After working closely with people living with dementia and their families for three years, I saw just how powerful music, laughter, and community could be in creating joyful moments and lasting connection.With a background in the care sector and the music industry, I’ve brought these two worlds together to create a space where older adults and their loved ones can feel truly welcomed and uplifted.
